I am a qualified nurse with over 30 years of leadership experience within luxury healthcare settings, with a strong commitment to building a dedicated team who share my values of kindness, compassion, and excellence. Together, we strive to deliver exceptional, personalised care in a warm, welcoming, and luxury environment.

I am deeply passionate about creating a positive, caring environment where every resident feels valued, respected, and truly at home. Being approachable and people-focused is very important to me, and I look forward to getting to know each staff member, resident, and their family as part of our growing community at Signature at Hornchurch.

Supporting residents to live well for longer, happier lives, while offering families reassurance and peace of mind, is at the heart of my role. Having worked with Signature for over six years, I have had the privilege of commissioning Signature at Hornchurch. I have over six years’ experience working in older adult care, and I feel privileged to be the first point of contact for all care enquiries, whether for yourself or a loved one.

I am very passionate about making what can often be a daunting time feel kind, calm, and reassuring. I understand the emotions involved in making the decision to move into care and am experienced in offering support through knowledge, kindness, and empathy.

I am thrilled to be part of the team here in Hornchurch and would warmly welcome anyone to pop in for a chat and a cuppa to discuss any care needs. I am also keen to work closely with the local community to create a fully integrated and interactive home for both our residents and the surrounding community. I have worked in care for over 15 years and am a registered nurse with experience in the NHS, particularly within a busy A&E department. For the past five years, I have worked as a Deputy Manager within luxury nursing homes.

I am extremely passionate about elderly care and quality of life, with a particular focus on palliative and end-of-life care. My aim is to provide care of the highest standard for residents while offering their loved ones complete peace of mind. I am proud to be part of the Signature team and strive to consistently deliver the highest standards of care while upholding Signature’s core values.

Dementia Care Manager

With over 12 years of experience in the care industry, beginning at the age of 18, I have dedicated my career to supporting individuals living with dementia and ensuring they receive compassionate, respectful, and truly person-centred care. My experience spans frontline care roles through to managing a home as a deputy, giving me a deep understanding of the emotional, physical, and psychological needs of those living with dementia.

Throughout my career, I have specialised in dementia care within care homes across the South East, working closely with residents, families, and care teams to ensure each individual is supported as a whole person, not solely based on physical needs. I believe exceptional care is built on empathy, patience, and meaningful human connection, with a strong focus on preserving familiarity, comfort, and routine.

I pride myself on providing a luxury standard of care while maintaining residents’ independence, dignity, and sense of self. My holistic approach recognises the importance of emotional wellbeing, personal choice, and creating environments where residents feel safe, valued, and truly at home – something I am excited to bring to Signature at Hornchurch.

My name is Race, and I am the Maintenance Manager for Signature at Hornchurch. This will be the fourth home I have had the honour and privilege of commissioning and opening for the company. It has been a pleasure meeting and introducing myself to the surrounding community of Emerson Park, and I look forward to welcoming them to see the finished home in all its beautiful glory. I take immense pride in my work and will ensure that all of our residents are safe and well cared for in their wonderful home.

Head Chef

I am a chef with over 30 years of international experience, having worked professionally in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom. My career has included positions at the Le Méridien King Edward and the Royal Canadian Military Institute in Toronto, the The Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown, and in London at the The Ritz Club, Andaz London Liverpool Street, The Harley Street Clinic, and Battersea Place.

I enjoy travelling, learning new dishes from different cultures, and incorporating them into my repertoire. I have a particular passion for Thai cuisine, which I developed during a stint in Phuket. I strongly believe in using local, seasonal produce from sustainable sources wherever possible.

I am honoured to be appointed Head Chef at Signature at Hornchurch and look forward to being part of the team that creates wonderful dining experiences for our residents and their guests.
