I moved to the UK from South Africa in 2002 and fell in love with a career in catering in the pub industry. 20 years later I found myself working in my first care home and the challenge of the role added a new dimension to what I find really rewarding about my work. My favourite thing about being a Chef is having the chance to create new things that people really enjoy eating. As Head Chef I look forward to building relationships with our residents and designing menus and dishes that cater for their needs and preferences while pleasing their palates. I believe that every meal experience is a chance to brighten up even the darkest day and I’m excited to lead the catering team in creating something truly magical for our lovely home.
