International Chess Day – Play a Grandmaster!

Join us at Signature at Banstead for an afternoon dedicated to the game of kings.

We are thrilled to welcome Richard Jones, President of the Surrey Chess Club and Grandmaster, along with regional junior champions.

2:00pm – 3:00pm | Chess Talk
Richard Jones discusses the evolution of 20th-century chess, from Russian dominance to the impact of modern supercomputers.

3:00pm – 5:00pm | Chess Matches
Test your skills! Challenge the Grandmaster, junior champions, fellow residents, family members, or friends in friendly games.

Enjoy complimentary chess-themed snacks, canapés, and refreshments throughout the afternoon.

Whether you are a seasoned pro or a casual enthusiast, all residents, families, and visitors are welcome.
