Reigate Grange held a celebration on the 15th August for Indian Independence Day and themed the whole day. Starting off with mandala painting in the morning and an Indian-themed quiz.
In the afternoon, we welcomed Shantanu with her performance on the Sitar; both entertaining and informative. The residents all thoroughly enjoyed the performance, and hearing popular songs they knew played on an unusual instrument was a great experience.
The evening continued the celebrations with a fantastic Indian menu, cooked up by Head Chef Ranjit.
It was really nice to see so many of our residents, families and friends, neighbours and staff joining us for the evening and embracing the cultural celebration.
To top the evening off we welcomed Ishtar with her colourful, fun and informative performance of some Bollywood dancing.
A fantastic day was had by all with big thanks to all the hard work put in by all the staff involved. And we can’t wait for our next celebration!
