General Manager

Marian Alexandru (Alex)

I am the General Manager for Signature at Highgate. My role is to ensure we honour and deliver our commitment in providing the highest quality of care in a luxury environment. I am responsible for overall service delivery to our customers and community, inspiring and leading the onsite team and to ensure high standards of governance and compliance are achieved.

Over the last 10 years, I have had the privilege of serving the healthcare sector through managing and leading frontline care services for our elderly population.  I have met with many individuals who have willingly shared their life experiences and wisdom with me. This has reinforced my sense of duty and heightened my level of respect for our elders.

Over that time, I have been proud to lead and work alongside some amazing team members who have had a genuine passion for care and a true desire to serve.  I have learned a great deal from these colleagues along my career journey.

I am very much a people person.  I truly believe in the values of responsibility, integrity, kindness, compassion and doing what I can for others.  The care sector has afforded me the opportunity to ‘live’ these values in the workplace, for which I am truly grateful for.

I was immediately drawn to Signature because of the culture and principles the organisation aspires to.  I joined the Signature team in 2017 and I am now passionately working with the community and team here to take the home’s services forward.  The team and I are fully committed to embedding the core principles of empathy, care, compassion and integrity into the Highgate community.

Client Liaison Manager

I worked for the NHS for over 10 years in care while I was raising my children, this has enabled me to have a greater insight into my role as Client Liaison Manager. I am here to support residents and their loved ones in making their decision into their long-term care needs. The most rewarding parts of my job are showcasing our beautiful home and enabling potential residents and their loved ones to visualise how we can enrich their lives with everything we have to offer here at Signature.

Dementia Care Manager

Claire Grant

I have worked in the care sector over 20 years with a noted 5 years within the market leading Signature Family. I have held the positions of both Dementia Care Manager and Residential Care Manager, but Dementia Care is my passion, and it is such a rewarding and fulfilling role. As Dementia Care Manager at Signature at Highgate, it is my responsibility to ensure that our residents are delivered the highest standards of person-centred care and that they are supported to live a fulfilling and happy life whilst living with Dementia. I feel very blessed to be a part of another beautiful signature home and I am confident that we can make such a difference in crucial moments in our residents’ journeys, and I am honoured to be trusted with the care of your loved ones.

Residential Care Manager

Ioana Atlas

I am thrilled to introduce myself as the Residential Manager for Signature at Highgate, a remarkable new luxury care home. It brings me immense joy to be part of the esteemed Signature family once again, after successfully opening and working at Signature at Barnet.
As a qualified nurse with over fifteen years of experience in the elderly sector, I am excited about the opportunity to create a nurturing and luxurious environment for our residents at Signature at Highgate. Building on my previous experience, I am committed to ensuring that every aspect of our residents’ lives is enriched and their well-being is prioritised. Working alongside an exceptional team, I am eager to utilise my skills in managing day-to-day operations, fostering a collaborative work environment, and delivering personalised care that exceeds expectations. My goal is to make Signature at Highgate a place where residents feel cherished, safe and truly at home.
I believe in the power of building strong relationships with residents, their loved ones and the community. By actively engaging with local healthcare providers and participating in outreach initiatives, I aim to create a supportive network that enhances the lives of those we care for.

Hospitality Manager

Swapnil Shinde

I started with Signature in May 2018 in Wimbledon. In my role of Hospitality manager, I will be managing an engaged and dedicated team to deliver luxury hospitality throughout the home to our residents and their loved ones. I am committed to delivering the highest standards of service and satisfaction. I’m adept at managing large teams and appreciate the importance of consistency. Prior to joining Signature at Highgate , I worked for Signature Barnet, Hendon, Wimbledon and Wandsworth. Previously I worked in the hotel industry at The Metropolitan Hotel, Park Lane in London. I have a post graduate qualification in Hospitality Management, and I believe I bring passion, creativity, and style to my role. Coming to a care home environment was initially challenging but offered tremendous satisfaction and opportunities and I was confident that I could improve the quality of our residents’ lives with my track record gained working in luxury environments.

Business Administration Manager

Elena Constantin

I am delighted to be part of the team opening and commissioning the lovely new built home, Signature at Highgate. I am excited to bring my strong communication and positivity in developing the Business Administration Manager role and take this opportunity to help grow the Signature at Highgate family and recruit the best people that are passionate to deliver excellent standards of care and go above and beyond for our residents.

Head Chef

Tony Tripe

With over 28 years experience in the catering industry, I have had the opportunity to work at many fantastic organisations, including GE, one of the world’s largest global companies. During my time as Executive Chef at Elstree Studios, I enjoyed cooking for celebrities and took pride in my work being presented on many TV shows and adverts including Big Brother and Strictly Come Dancing. Whilst working at the Grove Hotel, I had the opportunity to cook for the England Football Team which led to a further commission of travelling to other venues with the team to provide their catering. I am excited to see Signature continue to grow through the hard work and passion of the Signature team.

Maintenance Manager

Race Chamberlain

I am so excited to be opening and commissioning my third new build home for Signature. I feel totally honoured and privileged to be seeing the homes begin their journey as a building site, and to follow their path into being fully open, and welcoming our residents into their new home. I am so excited to be opening the home with such a great team, and for me to be able to pass on my knowledge of the building and its systems as we start to grow. As with all of my previous homes, I will ensure that everyone has a safe and warm environment for us all to be in.
