Introducing the Caversham team

Signature’s meticulous training process results in only the most promising individuals – those who demonstrate great dedication and compassion, and who share our core values – being invited to join our exceptional care team.

Our training equips carers to deliver compassionate and comprehensive care which is sensitive to individual needs and preferences, going far beyond physical health to touch on all areas of day-to-day living, with specialist teams dedicated to crucial areas like hospitality, dining, activities and more.

Laura Hulett

General Manager

My career in care started in 2009 after graduating from University with a Psychology degree, and I have been a manager of residential and nursing homes since 2013.

I am passionate about enabling residents to continue to live their lives as they did in their own homes. I also love being involved in the day-to-day running of a home, working alongside the team and getting to know our residents and their families.

I joined Signature in March 2021, attracted to the ethos of care, and how our residents are encouraged to maintain the lifestyle they wish to lead. We have a real focus on resident well-being, with each resident enjoying a personalised level of care within a beautiful, well-kept home.

Client Liaison Manager

Karen Fleming

I worked for the NHS for over 10 years in care while I was raising my children, this has enabled me to have a greater insight into my role as Client Liaison Manager.

I am here to support families and their loved ones in making their decision into their long term care needs. The most rewarding parts of my job are show casing our beautiful home and enabling families and their loved ones to visualise how we can enrich their lives with everything we have to offer her at Signature.

Dementia Care Manager

Marius Chelaru

I have been working in the care industry for over 10 years and love supporting people to make the right decisions about caring for their loved ones. I am passionate about ensuring our residents get the best out of every day and believe they can achieve anything with the right support, as Walt Disney said ‘I found the way to get started was to quit talking and begin doing it’.

I’m very lucky to be part of an incredible team that are dedicated to go above and beyond for our residents, ensuring they receive an outstanding service and care. I am excited to be responsible for implementing and embedding the ‘My Life’ strategy which is our company’s dementia strategy to enhance the lives of those living with dementia.

Clinical Services Manager

Mihaela Popa

I have been working as part of Signature since 2017, in a variety of roles, starting as a team leader before qualifying as a nurse. I then progressed to Nursing Care Manager and more recently have been appointed as Clinical Services Manager here at Caversham. Having worked in the care sector for all my career, I would not imagine myself doing anything else.

I am passionate about ensuring high standards of care and delivering peace of mind to our residents and their loved ones. Caversham is a special place, and I look forward to continuing to deliver the Signature standard alongside such a dedicated team.

Residential Care Manager

Tomasz Maciuszek

I started my career in care in 2013 as a care assistant and then progressed to Residential Care Manager, where I have fulfilled this role in two other Signature homes.

I am privileged to be part of an amazing team and to be able to work together to cultivate a stimulating and varied lifestyle for our residents. I strongly believe that by working together we can ensure a happy and fulfilled life for our residents living at Signature Caversham.

Activities Supervisor

Iwona Musa

I have been working in care now for over 18 years and am very excited to start my journey at Signature Caversham.

My passion is people, and I am delighted to be given the opportunity to lead a team that’s sole purpose is to bring joy and fulfilment to our residents’ day to day lives.

I am a naturally creative and playful person and these qualities will help design an activities programme that supports the wellbeing of all our residents.

Jurate Buciene

Business Administration Manager

I joined Signature at Caversham in October 2022 and looking forward to seeing our new home grow and flourish.
Previously, I have worked as a Financial Administrator in a care home for 11 years. My educational background is Teaching, however, moving into the care sector was the best decision I have ever made. There is nothing more rewarding then making positive impact of the lives of others and witnessing this first-hand.
I love building relationship with the Residents and Colleagues, and it is my passion to make sure that people feel supported, valued, and respected.
When not at work, I enjoy reading books, baking, spending time with my beloved family.
I feel extremely proud an honoured to work in a such beautiful Home with friendly atmosphere and dedicated people, delivering excellent care.

Head Chef

Lauren Jones

I started my catering career in hotel kitchens where I developed my skills and passion for cooking. I soon made my way up through various roles in the kitchen.

My move into the care sector came in 2019 and I joined Signature in June 2021. What I particularly love is the interaction with the residents and their families.

I am proud to lead my team, providing a high standard dining experience for all the residents within our home.

Housekeeping Supervisor

Danuta Snell

I have been in the housekeeping trade for over 15 years, mostly in the hotel business. I take pride in what I do and am very particular to detail.

This is my first position in a care home and my experience at Signature Caversham over the past several months has been the most rewarding of my career.

We have built a very good team, and each of us enjoy what we do in the housekeeping role, but for me, spending time with the residents and getting to know them is the highlight of my day.
