Our training equips carers to deliver compassionate and comprehensive care which is sensitive to individual needs and preferences, going far beyond physical health to touch on all areas of day-to-day living, with specialist teams dedicated to crucial areas like hospitality, dining, activities and more.

General Manager

Laura Hulett

My career in care started in 2009 after graduating from University with a Psychology degree and I have been a manager of residential and nursing homes since 2013. I am passionate about enabling residents to continue to live their lives as they did in their own homes. I also love being involved in the day-to-day running of a home, working alongside the team and getting to know our residents and their families. I joined Signature in March 2021, attracted to the ethos of care and how our residents are encouraged to maintain the lifestyle they wish to lead. We have a real focus on resident well-being, with each resident enjoying a personalised level of care within a beautiful, well-kept home.

Client Liaison Manager

Sandeep Nandhra-Gourlay

As Client Liaison Manager at Signature at Caversham, I am the first point of contact for seniors and their loved ones exploring care options. With over 10 years of experience in the industry, I take pride in providing guidance, answering questions and offering tours of our vibrant community. My goal is to make the process as smooth and reassuring as possible, helping families feel confident in their decisions.

What I find most rewarding is seeing new residents settle in, build friendships and embrace life at Signature. It’s a privilege to support families through such an important transition and to witness the joy and fulfilment that comes from being part of our community.

Client Liaison Co-ordinator

Maria Reed

I started at Signature Caversham as a receptionist in 2023, and I’m thrilled to say that I became the Client Liaison Coordinator in 2024. My background is over 20 years in the early years sector, 15 of which I have worked as a day nursery manager. I decided to switch careers in 2018 and spent eight wonderful years at Weight Watchers before applying to Signature. In my current role, I’m privileged to support families and individuals from their first interaction with our home and throughout their journey with us. I’m deeply passionate about making this part of their journey the best possible, driven by my empathy and care for the families I work with.

Dementia Care Manager

Marius Chelaru

I have been working in the care industry for over 10 years and love supporting people to make the right decisions about caring for their loved ones. I am passionate about ensuring our residents get the best out of every day and believe they can achieve anything with the right support, as Walt Disney said ‘I found the way to get started was to quit talking and begin doing it’. I’m very lucky to be part of an incredible team that are dedicated to go above and beyond for our residents, ensuring they receive an outstanding service and care. I am excited to be responsible for implementing and embedding the ‘My Life’ strategy which is our company’s dementia strategy to enhance the lives of those living with dementia.

Clinical Services Manager

Mihaela Popa

I have been working as part of Signature since 2017, in a variety of roles, starting as a team leader before qualifying as a nurse. I then progressed to Nursing Care Manager and more recently have been appointed as Clinical Services Manager here at Caversham. Having worked in the care sector for all my career, I would not imagine myself doing anything else. I am passionate about ensuring high standards of care and delivering peace of mind to our residents and their loved ones. Caversham is a special place, and I look forward to continuing to deliver the Signature standard alongside such a dedicated team.

Residential Care Manager

Tomasz Maciuszek

I started my career in care in 2013 as a Care Assistant and then progressed to Residential Care Manager, where I have fulfilled this role in two other Signature homes. I am privileged to be part of an amazing team and to be able to work together to cultivate a stimulating and varied lifestyle for our residents. I strongly believe that by working together we can ensure a happy and fulfilled life for our residents living at Signature at Caversham.

Head Chef

David Plunkett

I’m David, hailing from the (small but mighty!) town of Drogheda in Ireland.

I’ve been a chef for as long as I can remember, literally, the second I left school and picked up a knife, I haven’t put it down since! I’ve had the pleasure of cooking in hotels, private schools, for a blue-chip company, and as well as my own luxury dining business.

Over the years, I’ve learned that good food is about balancing flavours and really understanding who you’re cooking for. Cooking is my creative outlet and I’m all about creating bespoke menus because, life’s too short for bad food! I’m genuinely excited to cook for such an important crowd. After all, the residents that we are serving raised us, so it’s only fair they get the finest dining experience as a thank-you.

Food and Beverage Supervisor

Natalya Kulikova

I am a finance professional by education, so my previous career was related to banking. I worked with major manufacturing companies and government organizations, which gives me the confidence to say that I have a very good understanding of what ‘high service standards’ mean. I joined the Signature team a year and a half ago, and during this time, I’ve realized that creating a warm, cosy, and welcoming atmosphere for our residents is exactly where I love to excel. I enjoy giving residents the feeling of a truly homely community where everyone has their unique place. Together, both staff and residents, like pieces of a puzzle, create a unified and beautiful picture called the Signature family.

Activities Supervisor

Iwona Musa

I have been working in care now for over 18 years and am very excited to start my journey at Signature at Caversham. My passion is people and I am delighted to be given the opportunity to lead a team that’s sole purpose is to bring joy and fulfilment to our residents’ day-to-day lives. I am a naturally creative and playful person and these qualities will help design an activities programme that supports the wellbeing of all of our residents.

Business Administration Manager

Jurate Buciene

I joined Signature at Caversham in October 2022 and am looking forward to seeing our new home grow and flourish. Previously, I have worked as a Financial Administrator in a care home for 11 years. My educational background is Teaching, however moving into the care sector was the best decision I have ever made. There is nothing more rewarding than making a positive impact of the lives of others and witnessing this first-hand. I love building relationships with the residents and colleagues, and it is my passion to make sure that people feel supported, valued and respected. I feel extremely proud and honoured to work in a such beautiful home with friendly atmosphere and dedicated people, delivering excellent care.

Maintenance Manager

Nick Partridge

My career started as a carpenter, before training to become an aircraft engineer. I was a licensed aircraft engineer for 20 years working for British Airways and Britannia. I then wanted a bit of a change and found Signature. I worked at another Signature site for 2 years as a maintenance assistant before moving across to Signature at Caversham as Maintenance Manager. I love to help people whilst keeping them safe, but also the relationships you form with the residents and staff is a real perk of the job!
