Every year for National Care Home Open Day, we offer residents and visitors different activities that always enhance our day.
This year’s theme was ‘art is a care setting’ and we were fortunate enough to have residents with amazing artistic talent. We created an amazing exhibition stall in which the resident’s artwork was proudly displayed for others to see. The in-depth detail in the artwork definitely sparked a great conversation between the visitors as they were amazed how well the residents have presented their work.
We had a special visit from Mayor of Runnymede Cllr Parshotam Sohi, who was most defiantly very impressed the artwork from the residents. We also invited Creative Mojo to share some of their arts and crafts with our residents. The end result of this session was a masterpiece that also got a place at our art exhibition.
To add to a great day, we had the pleasure of having Emily Louise singing for our songs that we danced to, we sang along to and that lifted our spirit
