At Parklands, we all met in the bistro which was full of residents and families on New Year’s Eve as we celebrated the new year with music and song. Christine and Terry came to sing and perform with us and towards the end, people were up and dancing and having fun.

We stopped for speeches and listened to our General Manager Maggie Middleton make a toast to the last year and thanked everyone in the home. Then Activity Manager Ana Amaya Yarce made a speech wishing everyone well for the new year. Afterwards, we did our pretend countdown at 4pm and sung Auld Lang Syne and carried on singing.

The Kitchen team had provided us with Prosecco and yummy canapes which were served. Everyone had a wonderful time as we celebrated the New Year with friends and family.
