This year’s theme for The National Care Home Open Day was ‘Celebrating the role of The Arts in Care’.  Coombe Hill Manor was designed around the theme of  The Arts. We have a dedicated art studio with many of our residents enjoying wonderful art sessions with the talented Lisa Maria Ortiz, our Activities Manager. We also celebrated the wonderful art produced by our Auguste residents living with Dementia.  These works were produced with the dedicated support of Caroline from the Creative Minds Company.
Our Care Home Open day kicked off with Greg MacKenzie doing a live interview on Radio London’s Vanessa Feltz Breakfast Show with Irene Ball and Jo Ryeland, our resident artists here at Coombe.  The exhibition was a huge success with residents able to display their works and friends and family enjoying and sharing the day’s success.
