Every year Coombe Hill Manor look forward to taking part in The Christmas Tree Festival at Trinity Church in a Wimbledon in support of The London’s Air Ambulance. For three days during December, the church was filled with a spectacular display of about forty decorated Christmas trees and lights, representing “Anniversaries” in recognition of the 30th anniversary of London’s Air Ambulance and the churches 5th Festival. After sponsoring a tree, everyone receives a list of themes to choose from and this year we chose ‘The 50th anniversary of the Stonewall’uprising in New York, a turning point in the modern gay rights movement. Coombe celebrates diversity and inclusion and Debbie, our Activity Assistant lovingly made every decoration by hand. Our amazing resident Bee Bee Bond attended with Debbie to help dress the tree whilst enjoying Mince pies and a warm drink.
To our joy and amazement, we have received a letter to say that we were voted best tree this year! We are so proud!
