Support

Our Person Centred Care approach is supported by an affordable and flexible fee structure

At Signature, we understand that every individual is unique and there is no “one-size-fits-all” care plan.

Everyone who comes to live in a Signature home has a detailed health and wellbeing assessment plus a care evaluation prior to moving in, during which time their particular needs and preferences are discussed.

Together with family members, we create a bespoke care plan – tailor-made to suit all personal and specific care requirements and support levels. The cost of the suggested care plan is detailed and agreed prior to moving in.

Our Care Team regularly review these care and support needs and when agreed with the resident and their families, makes any necessary changes. This practice of continual evaluation allows us to offer residents the most appropriate amount of care as and when they need it.

How do I know that Signature is the best option for me?

The answer to this question lies with the individual and his or her needs. Everyone is different, so therefore, what’s best for one person will not necessarily be the best for another. Signature’s operating model provides bespoke wellbeing plans for all our residents at an affordable price. By offering holistic person-centred care, we are able to adapt rapidly to the changing needs of an individual. The flexibility of a rental model such as ours means we are also able to alleviate the burden of a long-term financial commitment.

All our General Managers and Client Liaison teams are highly experienced in the care sector. They have detailed knowledge of the various types of care, nursing and accommodation options available within the areas around each of our communities. They will always seek to give a balanced and well-informed overview of the different options available to potential residents and their families.

For further advice please call or visit one of our communities, where the team will be on hand to provide further information.

Yes, many of our communities cater for couples. Care and nursing needs are individually assessed, allowing couples with differing needs and requirements to live together happily and comfortably.

Signature is committed to providing you with the best possible long-term care. The majority of our homes are registered nursing homes, allowing us to meet a high level of physical and emotional need, thus providing a real home for life. Further, through our work with specialist third parties, we are able to offer you advice on accessing healthcare funding for both care and nursing, and will work alongside you to facilitate this.

As with all financial matters, we encourage residents and their families to seek specialist financial advice.

Signature has relationships with a number of professional organisations able to provide specialist advice depending on your individual circumstances, including care fees planning services, annuity schemes and so on. Your local Signature home will be able to help identify other specialists in this area, should you wish.

At Signature, we recognise the unique requirements of people with Dementia and understand that this could be a potential future diagnosis for many of our residents, therefore to help in these circumstances, all but one of our homes has a dedicated dementia area, most of which have been designed in conjunction with leading research from Stirling University.

Yes, of course. Our homes are perfectly positioned within easy reach of excellent travelling links. We also encourage family and friends to visit whenever they want to.

We know many people rely on their pets for companionship, and in order to help you feel most at home we do welcome pets at the General Manager’s discretion. Please ask when first looking round your home of choice.

Our apartments are rented on an unfurnished basis, so residents can either bring their own familiar pieces of furniture or treat themselves to new items. Either way, we encourage people to bring whatever makes their environment feel like home. We will happily provide good-quality bed linen should you wish or you are welcome to supply your own.

We encourage all our residents to attend a variety of forums held regularly to ensure the home is run according to their wishes. This includes a monthly residents meeting, food and beverage committees and health and safety meetings. The General Manager of each community is always available for feedback and there are residents’ suggestion cards. All recommendations are discussed at management meetings.

At Signature we pride ourselves on both the quality and flexibility of our catering. The breakfast menu offers a wide range of hot or cold options, and the lunchtime and evening meals are three courses each with “light bite” options for those with smaller appetites.

There are always specials on offer, as well as great choices from our lunch and supper menus. Our chefs take a personal interest in the individual preferences and nutritional requirements of our residents and can cater for any food allergies or special food requirements, using fresh local and home-grown ingredients when possible.

As an organisation we have won a number of awards for the quality of our food, something we are exceptionally proud of!

Ultimately, of course, the proof of the pudding is in the eating! This is why anyone interested in joining one of our homes is invited to come and meet our teams, view the building and sample the food beforehand.

Predominantly this means space, light and exceptional quality. Even our smallest studio apartments are generously sized, as are our one- and two-bedroom apartments. Our apartments are larger than most other care home providers offering the highest quality accommodation in the sector.

Most of our suites come unfurnished, which allows our residents to bring in those special pieces of furniture and memories from their home, which helps our apartments feel instantly like a real home from home.

All our homes are finished to an exceptional standard. Signature homes are purpose-built, which means each has been designed with our residents in mind. Our apartments incorporate a range of up-to-date construction techniques and technologies including under-floor heating, exceptional sound-proofing standards and state-of-the-art alarm safety systems.

Although very modern in design, our buildings have grace, presence and elegance. All Signature homes are carefully designed to fit in with the architectural styles of their localities.

Finally, it means high-quality fixtures and fittings in each apartment, reflected in the carpets, curtains, light fittings and kitchenettes, all of which are designed to complement your own furniture, whatever its style.

Yes, all our apartments incorporate spacious modern wet-room-style bathrooms. In addition, most homes have spa bathrooms for a fantastic bathing experience.

We offer a wide range of social activities, including exercise, entertainment and a number of clubs, such as gardening, wine tasting, bridge and flower arranging. All activities programmes are arranged around the interests and needs of our residents.

Yes. All our internal and external training is accredited and reviewed regularly. With regard to external training, we work with local training companies offering individualised training packages that complement our own very high standards.

We ensure all team members are fully qualified for the position they hold and that they participate in ongoing training programmes based on the requirements of their current and future roles within the company.
