Ascot Grange held a ‘Ready Steady Cook’ event in our Bistro area. In one team we had Helene (care service manager) and Loretta (resident), in the second team it was David (general manager) and Doreen (resident). Our head chef provided each team with a mystery bag with food items and gave them 5 minutes what they were going to cook. The teams had 25 minutes to cook their desired dish which was watched by the residents and staff. At the end of a very entertaining 25 minutes, we all got the chance to try the dishes cooked by both teams and voted on who the winner was using either a red or green pepper.
The winners were Helene and Loretta.
