Hard working staff from Signature Senior Lifestyle’s Rosebery Manor home in Epsom have been recognised at two highly prestigious industry awards ceremonies, reflecting tireless work in the face of additional challenges for the sector at present.

General Manager Michelle Gray has won “ Social Care Nurse of the Year” at the British Care Awards which is one of the biggest accolades within the sector. Michelle has enjoyed a flourishing career at Signature, progressing from Care Services Manager and then recently promoted to general manager as of a few weeks ago.

Meanwhile, Residential Manager Kevin Lowing has also been recognised as a runner up in the Care Homes Heroes 2020 competition, organised by Ontex in association with Caring Times. Kevin was nominated for going above and beyond in fulfilling the needs of a resident who was at Rosebery Manor for their end of life care. Kevin spent his day off collecting the resident’s brother, who had mobility issues, from Essex, bringing him back so the pair could enjoy a special lunch at Rosebery Manor.

Michelle Gray, General Manager at Signature Rosebery Manor, comments: “It is an honor to have been recognised in such a prestigious ceremony, particularly amidst the challenging times that we have all faced this year.  We have a fantastic team that has bounded together, ensuring we deliver exceptional care and uphold all our values despite the shifting conditions.

“Testament to this is Kevin, who embodies everything that we strive for, delivering exceptional care and treating residents with the dignity, respect and individuality that they deserve. This acknowledgement was all about gold standard end of life care and meeting a resident’s needs selflessly – the resident passed away not long after seeing his brother, making this particularly special.”
