Parklands celebrated their first Valentine’s Day starting with several arts and craft sessions to make cards for loved ones and to make decorations that we could use in the Otter Café.
Once the house was decorated nicely with hearts, pink and red the residents enjoyed a delicious and leisurely lunch on tables decorated with petals. Courtesy of our talented chefs.
Special elements were thought of, as chocolate hearts on dining table spaces and the lovely housekeeping team thoughtfully made a crafty heart display with tissue paper hearts and towels for residents whose bedspread had been changed that day.
To top it all off, in the afternoon, we had Paul Grainger come and play familiar tunes on his piano. Champagne was enjoyed and the activity ladies gave a red rose to each resident.
