We had some early risers for the day of the Royal Wedding. They got the best seats in the lounge and were soon joining in with the crowds on the TV, waving their flags and drinking the bubbly we had passed around.
There was much discussion and enjoyment over the parade of royals and celebrities, what people were wearing, who was with whom and, of course, the groom, the bride and her dress.
As the ceremony went on over lunchtime, we re-arranged the café to hold a street party type of lunch and decorated it with flowers and bunting.
Residents sat around a long U-shaped table, so they could dine in style, whilst still watching the wedding on the large projector screen.
This was a great success and enjoyed by everyone.
