We were very pleased to have a tremendous turnout for our first Christmas fair at Parklands Manor!
We had an estimated 250 people attend the fair and they very much enjoyed visiting the different stalls. It was so busy that we had to use up the whole of the ground floor due to the fact of having 12 stalls. Each stall was selling gifts such as crafts, paintings, fairy dresses and let’s not forget handbags.
We were honoured to have The Surrey Advertiser (local newspaper) attend the fair and write a lovely article about the day.
Our residents have been very busy over the months leading to the Christmas fair making crafts to sell in aid of our local chosen charity- The Dementia Carers Support. They made paper mâché bowls, decorations and Christmas wreaths.
Two of our talented residents painted Christmas scenes which we then made into cards … that sold like hot cakes! We were still selling cards long after the fair as many people had placed orders right up to Christmas.
We raised over £400.00! well done to everyone took part to raise money for ‘The Dementia careers Support Charity’.
