For Dementia awareness week this year, we thought we should host a themed party. After some consideration we decided to throw a Hawaiian party that was held in The Meadows.
We all dressed up wearing flower leis and some of the staff were in grass skirts! The Meadows lounge was decorated tropically themed including a palm tree made out of cardboard.
A mocktail menu was provided which included Iced Tea ‘Party on the Beach’ and ‘Aloha’ strawberry and basil water.
A party wouldn’t be one without some dancing, so who better to help us than Simon who comes to dance with us every week. For our themed party, instead of ballroom we had Hawaiian themed songs to sway our hips.
It was a wonderful afternoon for all the residents and staff that attended.
