We have several lovely staff dogs at Parklands Manor and Paisa, the Activity Manager’s dog has been here from the very beginning and is used to getting a tickle under the chin and some fuss.

We thought it would be a nice idea for Paisa to come to the Meadows and spend some time there having a cuddle on a lap or two.

Spending time with pets is very good for our emotional wellbeing, and stroking a pet is known to reduce stress levels and blood pressure and can also conjure memories of pet’s residents had as children.

Paisa was very well received and sat on several laps and got some TLC from the residents.

The residents in the Meadows also enjoy the regular company of new staff puppy, Sam, so they are never short of canine fun.
