Last week our Residents met in the Otter café where they chatted and reminisced about the history of the BBC over a cup of coffee. They spoke about the times they would congregate as a family around the radio and listen to Desert Island Discs and the Ladies enjoyed woman’s hour. It brought back a lot of good memories for them that they laughed and spoke about how much has changed since there youth. The televisions were a world apart from the huge flat televisions we have today they where so small they had to huddle round to be able to see. One Resident told us how only one neighbour in her street had a T.V and that many people from her street gathered at this house so they could watch the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.
