Tuesday 7th January 2020 marked a very special occasion at Elton House, for the first time since opening we were able to share a very special celebration with one of our wonderful residents, Mrs Lore. Lore has lived at Elton House since Dec 2018 and we were so excited to be able to host a wonderful party for our residents and Lore’s friends and family to mark her 100th Birthday. Elton House was honoured to welcome The Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Hertfordshire, Stuart Nagler, who presented Lore with a birthday card from the Queen and even Her Majesty herself made an appearance (even if it was in the form of cardboard cut-out!) Lore is a very active member of our community here at Elton House, known for her keen bridge playing skills and involvement with the Association of Jewish Refugees, as a survivor herself, Lore is a well-regarded member of the wider community as well as here at Elton House.
