Knit & Natter

At Coombe Hill Manor our residents meet in our activity room to take part in our ‘Knit and Natter’ group. Lots of wonderful things happen within these meetings. Knitting, themed crafts for our events, Anne’s baking club and, of course, lots of nattering over a nice cup of tea and a piece of cake!
One of our residents, Irene Ball, is one of our leaders in this activity and looks forward to these sessions. You can usually find her at the sewing machine, lovingly sewing and altering clothes for staff and residents. Irene is at her happiest when feeling useful. She has just finished making six tablecloths and many napkins ready for our ‘12 for lunch club’ where residents decide menus, prepare and make home cooked meals and join in the activity room for a wonderful lunchtime get-together.
This is led by our amazing activity assistant, Anne. We are very proud of Anne’s passion for keeping our assisted living, and some of our residents that are living with dementia independent and active and our activity room is the heart of Coombe Hill Manor!
