It has been a year since we lost one of our beloved residents, Dick Ryeland. His wife wanted to have a little memorial in his name and donated a wonderful fountain for our garden pond.
After some deliberation, Jo Ryeland, finally found the right fountain that she wanted to donate to Coombe Hill Manor´s Pond. Once the fitting was completed, we gathered together on the 23rd of August (Dick´s birthday) to unveil the plaque and officially turn on the fountain.
Staff and residents had a lovely time in the garden, enjoying Steve Convey´s performance (the son of another of our residents, Anne Convey) There was a short and amusing speech to remember Dick. All of his family came and the ‘Coombie’ residents were present to remember him and to share special moments in the history of Coombe Hill Manor.
