Our activity assistant, Debbie, delivered adorable dolls and a lovely antique crib up to Auguste together with a blanket lovingly knitted by our assisted living resident, Irene Ball, for two of our residents on Wednesday.
A wonderful group of ladies tirelessly fund raise to prepare dolls and knit clothes to send to care homes for the use of doll therapy.
Doll therapy can bring great benefit to some residents with a diagnosis of dementia. It can inspire a renewed sense of purpose which can lead to increased activity levels and reminiscence that can give a person a feeling of peace and tranquillity.
We are truly grateful to these fantastic ladies!
