The wondrous Big Heart Band came and visited Coombe Hill Manor again in the middle of March, bringing their unique combination of choral/group vocal styles, simple instrumentation and raucous elements of audience participation.
Having changed their names from Jeremy & Friends, the Big Heart Band features over seven vocalists, a pianist, a horn player and multiple percussionists. The songs are real classics from the youths of our Residents, including such hits as We’ll Meet Again, He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands, Blue Moon, Que Sera Sera and many, many more.
Residents can either sit back and enjoy the spectacle or be brave and join in. Even our receptionist, Lucy, often joins in on backing vocals and then things get really pumping.
