General Manager

Debra Roose

I am grateful to be working for Signature- Wimbledon where I am able to bring along 34 years of experience managing care homes. I initially started my career 1976 as a care assistant within social care and by 1979 I was a training nurse at Broadgreen Hospital. Once gaining my qualification in 1981 I worked at Alder Hey Hospital as a Neo-Natal nurse within the surgical unit. In 1984 an opportunity arose in the family business of residential care and for 23 years I was the registered manager of a residential care for the elderly. By 2005 I had worked towards getting my Registered Manager Award and being qualified as an NVQ assessor. Over time I gained a great reputation as I was motivating my team to develop through the right training and ensure they were valued through recognition. Having worked in Cardiff for the past 6 years I have developed my skills further and for an interim period, I was the company’s Operation Support Manager in England. I worked closely with the Operations Team to ensure high standards were fulfilled in all areas including the Clinical and Person-centred care. In 2017 I was very proud to be awarded Manager of the Year 2017. I have seen many changes over the years in care and have developed a passion for enabling my team to deliver outstanding person-centred care for residents

Client Liaison Manager

Maurice Walsh

My role as Client Liaison Manager gives me the chance to guide and support residents and their families through this important stage in their lives. It is my job to make sure that our residents feel welcomed and are fully settled into their new home.

I look forward to welcoming everyone to our community at Wimbledon to show them the excellent care and facilities we have to offer.

Deputy Manager

Thomasina Browne

I originally came from a sales background but after losing my father to cancer and observing the dedication and support given to him and my family, I wanted to be part of that, I wanted to give something back.
I worked for Cancer Research UK as a Retail Manager and although this was fulfilling my desire to make a difference, I felt I needed to be more hands on. I started my care career as a Health Care Assistant. I worked my way through the ranks gaining my Health and Social Care qualifications and a world of knowledge.
I joined Signature Senior Lifestyle because I felt we had something in common; ‘a passion for person-centred quality care’.
I feel very fortunate to be working at Wimbledon and part of such a dedicated team. We all strive for excellence and are all passionate about delivering outstanding care and services to all our residents and their families.

Residence Experience Manager

Swapnil Shinde

I am the Residence Experience Manager of Signature of Wimbledon. Prior to joining, I was with the Metropolitan Hotel, Park Lane in London.
I have a postgraduate qualification in Hospitality Management and I believe I bring passion, creativity and style to my role.
Coming to a care home environment was challenging, but offered tremendous opportunities and I was confident that I could improve the quality of our residents’ lifestyles with my background in luxury hotels.
