General Manager

Janyce Wilkes

I am a Registered Nurse, having completed my training in Portsmouth in 1984. Since qualifying I have had a varied and interesting career working in primary, secondary, the pharmaceutical industry and forensic nursing before moving into social care.

I joined Signature in the summer of 2015 working as the Care Service Manager in one of our sister homes.

I am passionate about what I do, ensuring I am leading and inspiring my team to be the best they can and delivery exceptional person-centred care.

I am delighted to now be the General Manager of Wimbledon, with all the opportunities this presents, and look forward to working alongside the dedicated and caring team here. We are all here for the residents to create memories and provide peace of mind for family members.

Deputy Manager

Joanne Huckle

I am from Hampshire, and love living in the quite countryside. I have been in health and social care for 6 years and started my care career in Signature at one of our sister homes. I started as a care assistant within a year went to lead and gained my NVQ level 3. This drove me for progression and within a year I was undertaking my level 5 and taking on extra responsibilities in the home. When an opportunity for residential manager came up, I jumped at the chance. I was successful and continued with my Level 5 Diploma. I worked as a residential manage in nursing home for two years, during my time here I undertook a safeguarding course and BEACH training for clinical observations. I then transferred to Wimbledon as residential manager and within 6 months I applied for temporary deputy manager.

During my time at Wimbledon, I have become a level 2 first aider and a first aider in mental health. I love the industry I work in, and no day is ever the same. I love building relationships with the residents and relatives and getting to know them and how we can provide the highest standards of care. To me it is all about ensuring their needs are met and they live in a happy/full of life environment. It should feel like home on a personal level. I look forward to what the future holds at Signature

Residential Care Manager

Rebecca Lee

I ensure all residents needs are met day to day and as they change, by assisting to co-ordinate the care team. I work closely alongside the care services manager to ensure the home is running well.

I have a passion for supporting residents to live well with Dementia and I am fortunate enough to manage a lovely team of dedicated staff who are always looking to provide the best quality of life and person centred care to our residents.

My role ranges from meeting and assessing new residents, communicating with relatives and heading the care team. I am always happy to help in any way I can.

Dementia Care Manager

Hannah Ilsley

Working in the health and social care sector is one of most rewarding jobs you could ever ask for and the most special things for me, is to be able to build meaningful relationships with the residents and striving for excellence with their care and experiences.

My passion for dementia began at school, with one of my teachers giving us with regular updates of her dad’s journey with dementia, and the impact this not only had on him, but also on his family. Following this, I began my career in the health and social care sector.  My roles have centred around dementia care, and have included administration, care and team leading.

All of which have enabled me to increase my knowledge around different areas of care, providing me with a holistic view of resident, relative and colleague needs.

My journey with Signature began in 2019 in a sister home, before transferring to Signature in Wimbledon in July 2021. The Dementia Care Manager position to me, is an amazing opportunity, which enables me to work with an incredibly dedicated team and make each day a positive experience for the residents, and their relatives. I look forward to challenges this role will present and the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives.

Client Liaison Manager

Sandeep Nandhra-Gourlay

I am the first point of contact for both seniors and their families enquiring about care options. I am proud to invite people to take a tour of our community and make sure they leave with all the relevant information, having experienced Signature in action. The most rewarding aspect is supporting both families and seniors by being able to guide and counsel them on what can be an emotional experience. I feel privileged to help in the journey towards making the decision to join our community and then, seeing new residents flourish and make new friends  is the ultimate reward.
