Signature at Guildford is a Care Home that caters for residents requiring support in nursing care, assisted living and memory care. The home is overseen by our General Manager and a committed team of Heads of Department who are all subject matter experts in their chosen field.

The home can provide safe, effective care for over 100 residents living over 3 floors, including our secure Memory Care neighbourhood for those with advanced dementia. The number of Carers on duty will be determined by the residents’ individual needs, however we allocate a minimum ratio of 1 Carer to 6 residents in our Assisted Living environment and a ratio of 1 Carer to 3 residents in our Memory Care community.

The care that each resident requires and receives is recorded using person centred mobile care technology which assists us in allocating the appropriate level of staffing to each area at the right time of day or night. Residents have reassurance that our call bell system is linked to our mobile care system ensuring that we are always there when needed.

Resident care is overseen by Registered Nurses, Senior Care Assistants and Care Coordinators who provide guidance to the care teams, ensuring that the service is fully compliant with the regulations and that the right resources are always on hand.

In addition, we have a dedicated catering team who serve delicious meals in our restaurants and a housekeeping team who are responsible for the cleanliness of the home including resident apartments. A dedicated activities arrange a comprehensive events programme and organise excursions using our own minibus. Each home has a reception area which is operated ten hours a day, ensuring that all visitors receive a warm welcome.

All Signature staff are trained to meet best practice standards for their respective roles including but not limited to; the Skills for Care recommended Care Certificate standards, Clinical Skills for CPD and revalidation and all new to social care employees are automatically offered the opportunity to complete their Level 2 Health & Social Care Qualification.
