 Introducing the Farnham Common team

My career in care started in 2013, it has been a privilege that most of my journey has been with Signature Care Homes.  During this time, I gained and developed my skills as a Residential Care Manager, working in different Signature homes and I am now delighted to move into the role of General Manager at Farnham Common. I am passionate about delivering exceptional care to our residents, ensuring our values are promoted by all our staff members, so we maintain excellent standards in all our day-to-day activities.  By being a positive role model within the Home, I hope to share this passion, working alongside, supporting my team, and building caring relationships with all our residents and respective families.

At Farnham Common, we have a real understanding of how important it is to demonstrate passion and empathy when supporting our residents with their care needs, naturally tailoring our approach each time to reflect their individuality.

As a General Manager,  I am motivated to support all in enhancing our service, making our Home truly remarkable.

Clinical Services Manager

Maschelle Dimayacyac

I’ve been working in the healthcare industry for 15 years now. I’m a licensed nurse in both the United Kingdom and the Philippines.  My journey in nursing began in 2003 in the Philippines. I successfully earned a bachelor’s degree in Nursing and passed the nursing licensing exam, which officially launched my healthcare career.

My passion for nursing and healthcare and my desire to continue my education led me to move to the UK to pursue my dream of becoming a globally competitive nurse. I continued my studies and successfully completed a degree in Nursing and Healthcare Integrated in the UK, at the University of West London.

I have had diverse and enriching experiences working in various roles in hospitals and care homes, which have helped me develop my expertise in both clinical practice and management. My experiences as a bedside nurse, nurse manager, and educator have all converged to shape my practice in providing safe, person-centred, and quality care to the residents.

I am thrilled to have been offered the position of Clinical Services Manager / Deputy Manager at Signature Farnham Common. To me, this role is more than just a job; it is an opportunity to be a part of an organization that genuinely cares about its residents, their families, and the staff. I am eagerly looking forward to continuing my journey of professional growth and learning with this incredible team, as I remain dedicated to ensuring the well-being of the residents.

I have worked in the care sector for many years, I started in my 20s at the Epilepsy Centre in Chalfont St Peter.
After a career diversion into retail and then later as an administrator with the National Trust, Signature offered me the opportunity to return to the care sector, firstly as an Administrator then Clinical Administrator and then Residential Care Manager. I later joined a specialist team to implement a new system for the whole of Signature Group, a project I am very proud to have been part of. Phil Hughes

Head Chef

I have worked in the food and hospitality industry from an early age, about 17 years ago. My journey originally started off as a child when holidaying abroad with family, and the passion I felt whilst away and all the different cuisines I was fortunate enough to experience along with being at home with my grandparents with home traditionally cooked food, trying to help but often just in the way!

So back in 2006 I started working for a gastro-pub company and attended professional culinary school, from here is where it began professionally. I spent several years doing this whilst learning what this crazy world of hospitality was all about and I just loved it. I was getting to learn, have fun and cook great recipes. As I developed as a leader and chef, I was appointed to my first position of Head Chef, to which I was very proud.

After some time with this group my culinary journey took me into the independent restaurant world, and it was here where I really started to grow as a personality and Chef and really start to hone my craft. I learnt so much more than just recipes and the balancing of flavours, I learnt everything I needed in life.

More recently I have been back in the gastro-pub sector for the last few years building great teams, cooking locally and sustainable dishes, developing others, watching them grow and working under some phenomenal leadership. I’ve since looked on life and felt coming from the generations of Nurses in my family that I have, that now was the right time where I wanted to give something back more personal to people and really feel like I am making a difference to everyone individually daily.

I have been lucky enough to be given this opportunity with Signature, but what can I say other than I feel privileged to be able to take this fantastic opportunity to meet everyone old and new and make a genuine difference in the residents lives here in their home, giving them a balanced nutritious daily diet whilst dropping little treats of naughtiness into their day here and there. You will always find me about chatting and getting to know people and just generally enjoying the day.

Wojciech Lozynski

Maintenance Manager

I am responsible for the health and safety of our residents, staff and visitors. I have the privilege of working for over 6 years in the care sector. The previous Nursing Home, where I worked for 4.5 years as a Maintenance Manager, received an outstanding rating from the CQC in all five areas, which I hope to achieve again with our team at Farnham Common.

I like helping people live independently and with dignity, despite their age and health and with our team at Farnham Common we aim to create a homely atmosphere with a safe and happy environment for our residents, families and friends.
