I’ve always enjoyed working with older people. I like being able to ensure that their needs are met and that they receive top quality care at all times. I’ve been working in the care sector since 2005, and worked my way up through the ranks from Care Worker before first becoming Registered Manager in 2011. I’ve worked for a number of care companies including private, social services and not-for-profit care homes and managed two domiciliary agencies. I hold Level 5 in Health and Social Care, Level 3 in Dementia Leadership, Level 3 in Palliative Care, Level 2 in Mental Health, Level 2 in Nutrition and Health, Emergency Aid and others.

Monika Siewierska

Deputy Manager

I joined Signature at Esher as a Senior Care Assistant in 2013, I progressed to Reminiscence Coordinator, I also managed the Assisted Living Department and now I am overseeing both departments as a Deputy Manager from September 2019. I also support the General Manager with Clinical Requirements and the Activities Coordinator with our Activities Programme.

The home has given me the opportunity to develop my skills, learn and progress. I am a qualified physiotherapist with hospital and private sector background. I am currently doing my Diploma Level 5 in Health and Social Care. I am passionate about the care and dedicated to provide a high quality service, tailored to the individual needs of each person. I am proud to be part of the Esher Team.

Sophie Hagger

Activity and Volunteer Coordinator

I am a creative individual with an array of ideas to introduce to a new fun an enriching activities programme which is accessible for all of our residents at Esher. I am enjoying every moment in my role and getting to know all of our residents, listening to their life stories, their likes and dislikes and taking into account what they would like to see within the activities calendar and the Esher community. Together, my team and I will provide an engaging and stimulating programme for the mind, body and soul for all our residents in Assisted Living and Reminiscence.

Biljana Ashfield

Reminiscence Coordinator

I joined Signature at Esher as a Senior Care Assistant Wellbeing in February 2019, I was then promoted to Reminiscence Coordinator in November 2019. I have been working in the care sector from 2003 and I am originally a nurse in my home country. I have managed two Residential Care Homes previously and I hold Level 4 in Health and Social Care. I enjoy working with elderly people, especially with dementia and the smile on their face gives me sense of achievement. My priority is to have a good relationship with residents, their families and staff to ensure that they feel welcome and at home.

Arunima Joby

Assisted Living Coordinator

I joined Signature at Esher in September 2010 as a Senior Care Assistant in the Reminiscence Neighbourhood. I progressed to be the Business Office Coordinator in January 2012. In March 2019, I was promoted to the Assisted Living Coordinator Role. I oversee the care and wellbeing of the residents in the Assisted Living Neighbourhood. I hold Masters in Hospital Administration, Business Administration, Human Resource Management and Level 4 in Health and Social Care.

Signature is like my second home and the residents and staff are like my family. I have been very passionate about care and the caring sector since childhood and take after my mother who was a Nursing Supervisor and Head Nurse in Hospital Industry.

Joanna Perry

Director of Community Relations

I joined Signature at Esher in February 2019. It is a pleasure to build relationships with residents and their families and friends, it can be a very difficult and emotional time when someone no longer thrives living alone, to make the move to residential living not only for the individual but also their family and friends. Sometimes the smallest of gestures can go a long way.

Jane Wells

Business Office Coordinator

I joined Signature at Esher in March 2019. Prior to starting at Signature I worked within the public care sector as a Human Resources Assistant, Finance and Payroll Manager for over 20 years. I enjoy getting to know residents, families and staff. I support General Manager and office administration and my door is always open.

Anna Shopland

Dining Services Coordinator

I joined Signature at Esher in June 2018. Prior to joining I was running my own Public House. I have been in the hospitality sector for over 10 years. I enjoy producing fresh, quality food for our residents and giving them a great dining experience. I run the kitchen and dining operations, and myself and the team are always striving to achieve high standards, guided by the regular feedback and requests of our residents and their families.

Kathryn Casey

Housekeeping Manager

I manage the Housekeeping Department and Laundry Department. My team and I ensure that the Community is well looked after through our cleaning and laundry service!

Prior to joining Signature at Esher in June 2020, I have worked in Finance, Care Work, Recruitment and Hospitality. I enjoy my job as a Housekeeping Manager as every day is different and it is a rewarding position, looking after the residents and working with such a lovely caring team here at Signature at Esher.

Dave Nicholson

Maintenance Manager

I joined Signature at Esher in June 2021 as maintenance co-ordinator. It is my first time working in a care environment which I am finding very rewarding. I look after the building repairing or replacing what is broken whilst looking after everyone’s health and safety.
