Ian Turnbull

General Manager

I joined a very supportive team at Signature at Eastbourne in July 2019. My background is mainly in hospitality having spent 30 years working within the hotel sector before transferring those skills to an independent retirement community. I am looking forward to working alongside the dedicated team in Eastbourne to make the residents daily life as fulfilling and active as we possibly can, ensuring we offer the very best care and exceptional service within their home.

Nancy Walford

Deputy Manager

When I  joined  the home in 2016 initially working  as a Nurse it was love at first sight! When I first walked in it felt like “coming home” a unique and special place who’s ethos and unique approach to care shone out and I instantly felt part of something special. Moving on to become Reminiscence Coordinator I led  an amazing team in the Memory Care Neighbourhood who are dedicated to providing enriched  person centred care in a unique, stimulating and safe environment, together we reached dizzy heights winning a National Care award for Resident Engagement in 2017 and becoming finalists in the National Dementia Awards  for the Best Dementia Team!

Now as Deputy Manager of Signature at Eastbourne I strive every day to ensure we are and will always be a special place and a happy home. Our Residents are truly inspirational and make everyday a joy. I am proud to be part of a passionate team who endeavour to lead the way as a centre of excellence in care. At Signature at Eastbourne the sun is always shining…

Daniel Ridgway

Director of Community Relations

I joined Signature at Eastbourne in November 2019 after 15 years in Hospitality and Independent living settings, I enjoy coming to work every day and seeing how our care teams work has had such a massive impact on every resident every day. The best part of my role is welcoming both potential residents and their families to the community and ensuring all aspects of the move in process and beyond goes smoothly.

Tom Niedzialkowski

Activities & Volunteers Co-ordinator

At Signature we all feel like we are part of one family, focusing on heartfelt care and a genuine passion for seniors. Our activities calendar is carefully planned to ensure each resident has an opportunity to take part in a variety of meaningful activities that enrich the mind, body and spirit. As a team we help our residents to embrace each day to ensure it is filled with purpose and laughter. Every month we put on themed events that bring our residents together with their friends and families. I joined the home in January 2013 and every day is still filled with happy daily surprises.

Romanita Nita

Assisted Living Co-ordinator

I have been a nurse for 20 years and before I left Romania I was the Occupational Health Nurse for a Petroleum/Chemical Company. In 2010 I came to the UK and joined Signature at Eastbourne in 2012 as a Bank Nurse. I was so impressed with the beautiful environment, the calm and welcoming atmosphere and the Signature ethos of care that I joined the company as a full time Wellness Nurse. In 2015 I stepped up for six months into the Assisted Living Coordinator role before being appointed permanently.

I enjoy leading a team of dedicated nurses and care assistants who want to ensure our residents lives are fulfilled to the best of their abilities. No two days are the same and I enjoy caring for our seniors and seeing them flourish. It is so rewarding when new residents arrive and I watch them make friends and start enjoying the many activities on offer and the fabulous food as they become part of our family.

Kayleigh Dale

Reminiscence Co-ordinator

I have spent my working life in the care industry. From 18 onwards I worked in various nursing homes as a care assistant. I qualified as a nurse in 2012. Very early on whilst working as a nurse in the hospital setting I realised my love for dementia nursing and became the dementia link nurse for my ward. I came to Signature at Eastbourne in 2016 and have worked on our Reminiscence Neighbourhood as a nurse until January 2020 when I was promoted to Reminiscence Coordinator. I thoroughly enjoy my job, being able to ensure our residents receive the best personalised care and also building relationships with the residents and their families. I love that our home is at the forefront on Dementia care and enjoy seeing the benefits it has on our resident’s wellbeing.
