General Manager

I joined Signature and social care in April 2018 as General manager for the very successful Parklands Manor in Chertsey. Prior to that I had extensive senior management experience as a nurse and director in the NHS and private healthcare. I have found the move to Social care hugely rewarding in being able to focus on not only providing the highest quality care and physical security for our residents but also ensuring that we focus on mental and psychological wellbeing to maximise independence encouraging ‘living well in later life’

I have an MBA from Brighton University, and I have maintained my registered nursing qualification specialising in Trauma, Orthopaedics and Ophthalmology. I also undertake CQC inspections up to three times per year as a specialist advisor for the CQC.

I am so looking forward to opening the new Signature home in Beckenham, building a team that can offer a real sense of community and independent living, developing a home that will also become embedded within the Beckenham neighbourhood

Client Liaison Manager

Having worked in care for over 12 years in various roles I am excited to join Signature at Beckenham as a Client Liaison Manager. Previously I have worked for different care providers within a variety of positions from Activities Manager to Customer Relationship Manager and feel this gives me a true insight into how to help deliver exceptional care and a fulfilled lifestyle.

I am delighted to join Signature, as their dedication to offering luxury living with exceptional care is something that I feel privileged to be a part of. In my role, I am the first point of contact for families seeking care. I love getting to know each individual resident and I am dedicated to using my knowledge and experience to help families through what can be a difficult time.

Client Liaison Manager

I joined Signature Beckenham in March 2021 as Client Liaison Manager and am excited to work with the team to open this luxury home. Having worked in Sales and Marketing in the Hospitality industry for 12 years previously, since moving into the Care Industry I haven’t looked back. I enjoy meeting residents and their families and showing them around the home, guiding them through the moving in process and answering any questions they may have.

Being part of the opening team at Signature Beckenham is a privilege and this home will have some truly unique features including our Village Hall community space and diverse open spaces.

George Goodson

Maintenance Engineer

I started my working career with a five year apprenticeship as an electrician working just off parliament square central London, I then went to work as a machine engineer for Granada and subsequently went into gaming industry for over 21 years finishing in 2008 as a General Manager.

In 2008 I moved into care and have worked for a range of companies including small charities to the most luxurious of care homes where I worked as Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Engineer.

I have previously worked for Signature and knowing Signature’s ethos on training and innovation I was very keen to rejoin when the opportunity arose to assist in opening Signature at Beckenham, my first new build Signature care home.

Since joining I have not been let down, my colleagues have all been very welcoming not just at Beckenham but at the other Signature care homes I have visited as well as all of the support staff visiting and supporting us here in Beckenham.

Having viewed the new home in the process of being constructed you can clearly see the difference between Signature and any other care home provider, from air conditioning in every room and vast amounts of space and great attention to detail it’s hard to think of anything that could be better, there are even large staff areas and staffrooms.

It’s great to be with a company that does really care about everyone.

Clinical Services Manager

Having qualified in Adult Nursing in 2013 following completion of my studies at Canterbury Christ Church University, I swiftly went into an acute nursing setting starting my career within the acute stroke unit at Pembury Hospital, Royal Tunbridge Wells.

As a staff nurse I specialised in all aspects of stroke care and particularly having responsibility for emergency thrombolysis treatment, attending calls and assessing patients presenting with acute stroke symptoms, working in close partnership with the Consultant within the emergency department.

Following this I went straight into Emergency Nursing, working at University Hospital Lewisham and then Kings College Hospital, London. Specialising in all areas of the emergency department for example, streaming, triage, minors, majors and resuscitation, where I was assessing and implementing emergency care protocols and pathways, as well as in the capacity of a sister and overseeing the department managerially.

Having specialised in emergency nursing and major trauma, throughout this time I have undertaken further university study within this specialty, including developing my core clinical skills as well as advanced nursing skills as a seasoned emergency nurse. In addition to this I have further qualifications in evidence-based practice and mentorship.

I then went onto spend some time within the private health care sector as the senior sister overseeing Surgical wards, and the high dependency unit.

Afterwards I transitioned into the adult social care sector which I have found exceptionally satisfying and challenging. Initially working as a clinical lead nurse and deputy manager for a high nursing care needs home within Camden. This post was most recent, prior to joining signature Beckenham as Clinical Services Manager in July 2021.

I pride myself on ensuring high care standards and the delivery of individualised, person centred care through safe, and effective standards of practice aligned to regulatory requirements.

I am looking forward to the opening of the new signature home in Beckenham immensely and I am proud to be part of such an exciting, and vibrant team.

Nurse Care Manager

I joined Signature in Beckenham in July 2021 as a Nurse Care Manager. Prior to that I had experience working as Deputy Manager and Clinical Lead for reputable health care companies in UK and also as a nurse for many years in the UK and abroad.

I am extremely proud and honored to be part of the opening team at Signature in Beckenham.

I am very passionate about nursing and always strive to provide exceptional standards of care in the safest of environments.

I look forward to the challenges and experiences that Signature has to offer and the relationships that I will build with residents and their families.

I recently begun my journey with Signature at Beckenham, I am privileged to have been welcomed into the Signature family from the Care and hospitality and the passion from each member of the teams is wonderful to see and I looking forward to been part of the ongoing journey with Signature.

I have previously worked in the Hospitality industry for over 20 years and from my time since I moved to the UK over 12 years ago I have worked in all environments from Theme park hotels to Corporate and many positions with in the industry .  I look forward to working with a great team and welcoming all our residents and there family and getting to know .


Sophie Smith

Residential Care Manager

I have worked for Signature since 2014 and love the ethos that Signature bring in supporting residents to live as independently as they wish while having excellent care on hand should they need it. I ensure that residents needs are met by co-ordinating the care team. I work closely alongside my colleagues to ensure we are delivering the best care for each resident.

I have a level 5 Diploma in leadership for Health and Social Care and over 15 year’s experience in social care. I have a real passion for elderly care and ensuring their needs are met in a holistic way. I love working with the residents and building a team to deliver the best person centred care. My role ranges from meeting and assessing new residents, communicating with relatives and external professionals to ensuring the team are well informed and trained in areas needed. You will always see me with a smile on my face, I am always happy to help.

People Services Manager

I joined Signature in May 2021 as a People Services Manager and have been blown away by the standards and passion from the staff that work here. Previously, I worked in a Complex Needs Care Home where I gained my CIPD qualification and my career in the care sector so far has been so rewarding. I am passionate about making a difference to those that truly work so hard for our wonderful residents and my mission is to create an environment where staff feel engaged, supported, and happy in their roles. I feel honoured to be here and my goal is to promote and facilitate strong, positive, lasting relationships. I am excited to be a part of this from the very start and look forward to watching it flourish.
