Andrea Barker

I have been working in the Health and social sector for over thirty years, inclusive of serving nine years in the Queen Alexander’s Royal Naval Nursing Service.
I have developed extensive experience in Oncology, Chemotherapy, Dementia and Care of the Elderly. I am passionate about providing high-quality service and developing high-performance teams within the service.
This helps ensure Moorlands Lodge is not only an exceptional Home for our residents to live in but an exciting and supportive environment for the Team to work in.

 

Care Services Manager

Janyce Wilks

I qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1984. Having spent the large percentage of my career in the community I have also worked as a nurse in the pharmaceutical industry where I provided training on respiratory care for nurses in primary care. I moved into the Criminal Justice Setting in 2006 setting up and leading the Forensic Nursing Team working in Dorset. In 2010 I moved on to become a manager for the Metropolitan Police Service ensuring teams looked after the health and welfare of detained persons in police custody, and become part of the custody teaching team in relation to health needs.

In 2015 I moved back into the eldercare sector. I am delighted to have joined the outstanding team at Moorlands Lodge and hope to bring her nursing, management and teaching experience to continue implementing the excellent care model already in place.

Client Liaison Manager

Dean Trodd

I have been working within the care industry for the past few years.
My role as Client Liaison Manager enables me to show what Moorlands Lodge has to offer seniors who feel they now need care, support and ultimately a fun lifestyle.
I am passionate about helping people make the right choices when looking at their options for the next stage in their lives.
Moorlands Lodge has a wonderfully supportive team which is a privilege to be a part of.

Activities Manager

Linda Booth

With a wealth of experience, my team and I are responsible for ensuring our residents lead a full and enriched life while living at Moorlands Lodge. A comprehensive activities schedule, as well as trips out, are provided and I am passionate about offering our residents a full and varied programme seven days a week, including evenings, to appeal to all needs and abilities.

Restaurant Manager

Tess Mouland

I fell in love with hospitality when I started working in pub kitchens at the age of fifteen. I truly found my passion when my experience allowed me to take a leading role in front of house operations and I began working through various sectors including pubs, Michelin star restaurants, events and hotel operations. Every role and environment I experienced spurred me on to squeeze more out of the industry, and in 2010 I graduated from the University of Surrey with an honours degree in International Hospitality Management.

Six years ago, I became Restaurant Manager of Moorlands Lodge and the challenge of bringing a five-star Food and Beverage service to the Care Industry has become a labour of love and satisfaction.
