“The move to Cliveden Manor was absolutely right for all of us and I wish that my mother had made the decision earlier. Cliveden Manor has provided her with a home, care, kindness and companionship. The welcoming atmosphere means that my family have been able to treat it as a home from home and see her every day. Residents and staff have been particularly kind to all of the little children who have raced in to visit their great-grandmother. it is what the best such places should be: not hushed, tucked away and smelling of cabbage, but full of life, visitors and flowers”(Comment from carehome.co.uk, Daughter of resident)

“Both my wheelchair bound parents are at Cliveden Manor. There is nowhere else quite like it and it is just perfect for them and their needs. The staff are friendly and the nursing is professional. The social side of the home is outstanding and the entertainment it provides is what makes my parents enjoy it so much. The facilities are first class and the food is terrific. Families are made to feel welcome at all times, and we have been to family meals and Xmas parties at Cliveden Manor. My parents are in the coffee bar by reception most days as the busy but relaxed community feel is what makes them happiest. I would recommend Cliveden Manor to anyone. The professional management of the place gives us confidence that this is the best place for my parents” (Comments from carehome.co.uk, Son of resident)

Award-Winning Dementia Care in Marlow

Cliveden Manor offers a purpose-built dementia area for those living with memory loss.  This area is open plan and naturally-lit, with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside.  Our specially trained staff are able to offer unique support to those requiring care.

“Our mother moved into Cliveden Manor 14 months ago – initially into one of the spacious assisted living rooms and then as her condition progressed into a small room in the Willows (Dementia suite).

She enjoys life at Cliveden Manor especially the fantastic entertainment programme – it is super to see her singing and clapping to the live music and she loves so many of the musical activities. Not only are activities available but the whole care team work to ensure that as many residents as possible enjoy them.

We have been struck by the care shown by the staff – for example sitting with my mother as she struggles to finish her food – long after the other residents have finished and taking the trouble to match my mother’s outfits and jewellery and encouraging her to go to the hairdressers so she looks and feel her best. (Comment from carehome.co.uk,Daughter of resident)

About the Area

Marlow is one of the loveliest locations on the River Thames, set amongst the lush meadows of the river valley and alongside the woodlands of the Chiltern Hills.

The market town is made up of historic streets, with many boutique shops, restaurants, cafes and bistros all adding to the town’s unique charm.

Marlow is a town and civil parish within the High Wycombe district in South Buckinghamshire. It is located on the River Thames, 4 miles south-southwest of High Wycombe, 5 miles west-northwest of Maidenhead and connected by the M4 and M40 motorways into central London.

The town’s most famous landmark is the suspension bridge which spans the River Thames and joins the counties of Buckinghamshire and Berkshire.

Residents and their families choosing Cliveden Manor as their new home are often from the areas surrounding Marlow, such as High Wycombe, Bourne End, Beaconsfield, Amersham and the Chalfonts, Gerrards Cross, Henley-on-Thames, Windsor and Maidenhead.
