Claire Cullen

General Manager

I am delighted at my appointment as General Manager,
Signature Ascot Grange, which commenced on the 15th April 2019.
I’ve been within care for 21 years in which I have managed a
number of homes during my career as well as supporting additional
homes regionally. Originally began my career in Finance progressing
to a Senior Finance Business Partner role in the Health Sector before
deciding to move to an operational role having enjoyed the resident
experience and being able to influence a difference to enhance the lives
of the individuals, we are privileged to care for.

On a personal level, I have been married to my husband Paul,
for 24 years and have two wonderful boys, Scott & Ed. Family and
friends are incredibly important to me with my weekends and holidays always full of social events and quality time together. Holidays, eating out and planning events are all things I thoroughly enjoy with shopping
in any form being an all-time passion.

Client Liaison Manager

Mariam Rafiq

Placing an elderly friend or relative into care is not something we
have all experienced. The journey of finding the best care in the right environment can be overwhelming and quite often you don’t
know where to start. Supporting families to navigate through the
various care options and offering information and guidance to make
the right decision in choosing the right Home is what I find most rewarding.
With the close relationships, we have formed with professionals,
hospitals, community services and charities, both national and local,
we can help connect you to the right people for further advice and
peace of mind.

My background in medical science and healthcare supported
my transition into the Care industry, and 5 years on,
I haven’t looked back. I feel privileged to be part of such a compassionate, dedicated and fun team who all work towards delivering activities that enhance our residents’ lifestyle, hobbies,
health and wellbeing. At Signature of Ascot, we understand that
sometimes it’s the little things that make the biggest difference

Client Liaison Manager

Diane Gregory

I joined in March 2020 just as the whole world was changing so it was a baptism of fire,  I am, however, working with a great team of people who are working towards ensuring our residents are cared for and their lives enhanced.  I have worked in the Care Sector for 12 months, my previous role was in sales for the Sign and Display market for many years, having been on the journey with my Mum who had Dementia the opportunity to help support others in the same situation also to those who are looking for a care home that will match their loved ones needs is both rewarding and fulfilling.   I am also a Dementia Champion with Dementia Friends and part of the local Dementia Action Alliance, being part of the community is important to me and my colleagues at Ascot Grange in supporting the local area.

Dementia Care Manager

Teresa Templeton

I have been working in the care industry for about 30 years,
I started working as a carer doing nights in a nursing home to
support my growing family. Once my family had grown I changed
my career path to residential care, it was here that I worked my
way up to become the Home Manager before joining the team
at Ascot Grange as their Dementia Care Manager.
Working in the care sector is a privilege and so rewarding.
The residents have such a rich history and they are always
willing to share their stories with staff.

Hospitality Manager

Ben Hadwick

I have really enjoyed my role as Hospitality Services Manager since being appointed in August 2019. It has been a change but I strive for
excellence and I feel right at home here at Ascot Grange.
Starting my career as a chef I have been very lucky to work in
some of the places I have. From Michelin Star & Rosette restaurants
to boats on the Thames & Gastropubs. With a wealth of experience in
The kitchen, I took the change to work in a care home around 6
Years ago. Since then I have worked as a Head Chef, Regional Exec Head Chef
& also in hospitality. I love working in care and one of my main goals is to change people perception of Hospitality & catering in care.

Pat Murphy

I have been working at Ascot Grange since August 2018 as
the Nursing Care Manager.
My background is that I qualified as a Registered Nurse in
September 1995. I worked in the NHS for 15 years in Acute

spending time with the residents which I find very rewarding

Jo Barnard

I have been working at Signature Ascot Grange as a
People Services Manager since January 2017and have
thoroughly enjoyed my time here. I am responsible for
the recruitment for the Home, ensuring the staff we hire
are able to work to a high standard and meet our expectations
as well as our Residents and their families whilst living
Signature’s values. It has been an exciting challenge seeing the Home flourish since we have opened and I am looking forward to seeing our Community continue to grow. I always
operate an open door policy and am happy to answer any
queries you may have.

Georgia Grace

I Joined Ascot Grange in 2017initially as an activity
assistant and moving recently to Activity Manager.
As the activity manager, I aim to produce an activity
program that is designed to meet everyone social, physical,
emotional and spiritual needs within their individual limitations.
My approach is to promote independence and improve
residents self-esteem.

My history I have gained a degree
in Human Communication Science, after which I Joined
the Priory as an occupational therapy assistant working
with children who had a range a special need, whilst at the Priory,
I gain a lot of knowledge of behavioural strategies and how these
can be implemented to promote independence. I then Joined
the NHS at Bucks Hospital providing home assessments and
treatment plans for parent and children with learning difficulties
to enhance their skills and development.

Maintenance Manager

Matt Lapworth

He has over 24 years of engineering experience gathered from
22 years in Her Majesty’s Army and 3 years here at Ascot. His
role here is a busy one which he has to maintain a number of
vital systems to ensure everyone in the home is comfortable and safe.
When he isn’t too busy you will see Matt talking to the residents
and helping them where he can as the Pastoral side of him is very
important to him. Maintaining relationships with people is just as
important as maintaining equipment.
