Cliveden have ventured further afield this spring and visited the RAF Museum in London.
A resident from Cliveden, Tom Rosser, met a curator at the Museum whom he had previously met a few years ago, to record his stories of being a reconnaissance photographer during the war.
We also found an aircraft with a ‘Chiltern Ariel’, which her late husband had invented. This was of great interest and delight for Dylis and her son, Stuart, who met us at the Museum.
Dylis was also in the WAF and had many fantastic stories to tell. All in all, it was a day of memories past and present. Cliveden residents are looking forward to returning soon, as the new air hangers will be open for RAF 100 celebrations.
