On Saturday residents at Moorlands celebrated Burn’s Night in style. The preparations started on Friday afternoon with a few of our residents making heather buttonholes for our residents to wear on the night. Our fabulous catering team prepared a delicious meal with haggis, neeps and tatties finishing with the traditional raspberry cranachan trifle. This was served by the lovely restaurant team and Heather from Activities organised the proceedings for the evening. Borrie from the restaurant carried in the Haggis and residents read the traditional poems. The meal was finished by everyone joining in to Auld Lang Syne. Residents then gathered in the lounge for entertainment and a little whiskey tasting to complete the evening.
