Up in the Meadows we like to make the environment look nice so every so often we arrange flowers to decorate the tables. The ladies got to it and arranged the roses, carnations and chrysanthemums in a beautiful display and one of the ladies mentioned she used to arrange the flowers at her local Church.

We also like to test ourselves with different brain exercises and we participated in a match the pair game where one of the pairs was called out and the residents have to say the other half. For example, ‘Laurel’ and ‘Hardy’ or ‘Needle’ and ‘Thread.’

All staff members in the meadows recognise how important it is for the residents to get fresh air and exercise, so come rain or shine those that would like to, put on their coats and go on a walk around our beautiful grounds. We have several residents who thoroughly enjoy a daily stretch of their legs.
