South Lodge residents have recently made a new friend in the form of Alfie, the Therapy Horse!
Alfie came to visit the residents for the very first time at the start of September, visiting all our residents on all 4 floors. He had a very busy time, being petted, eating lots of carrots and performing his tricks!
Our “special guest” was an absolute hit with everyone. They remarked how well behaved he was, they also loved the plaits he had in his hair and tail, the cute booties he wore so that he didn’t slip on the vinyl, as well as the handmade coat he wore as he travelled around the home.
The lovely horse brought an enormous amount of smiles, laughter and a real sense of surprise to the home, and he will now be back once a month moving forward, to spend time with our residents.
