Signature at Pembroke House Camberley hosted a fabulous event for over 100 people on Friday 17th November.
Residents, their families and guests arrived for a champagne reception which provided a chance for the local community to visit this stunning new care home and enjoy its hospitality.
As part of the event, guests were officially welcomed by the General Manager, Lisa Mitchell, who expressed her delight in helping to support the community. Signature Senior Lifestyle’s Executive Chairman, Tom Newell, also praised Wates the builder, his team of staff, and announced the Unsung Hero winner.
The team at Pembroke House had spent the last six months asking the community to help find their Unsung Community Hero. They were overwhelmed with the amount of nominations however, it became clear that the winner should be Irene Bothomley, a local hero doing fantastic work for Macmillan Cancer.
As Irene was not in the UK at the time of the event, Emma Heley, Fundraising Manager for Macmillan, said she would be proud to receive a cheque for £500 for this worthy charity.
Guests were then treated to a superb lunch and toured the stunning facilities at Pembroke House.
Lisa Mitchell, General Manager of Pembroke House, said “Thank you to everyone involved helping to make our VIP event such a great success!”
