In March, Parklands Manor took part in a sporty event for Sport Relief.
The day started off with a variety of ball games. We played Dartball, Basketball, Golf challenge and the ‘Knock Them Down’ game.
Residents were competing against one another, and soon a competitive spirit emerged. As games were being played residents were raising money for Sport Relief charities at the same time.
The chefs provided us with healthy snacks and, in the afternoon, we had the Phoenix card stall come so we perused the selection of cards. Lady in Red then came to perform on the piano.
Residents and staff dressed in red and wore Sport Relief badges to raise money. The day was enjoyed by all and we raised £43.52
