On the 23rd of April 2017, we had Susan St Nicholas come in and perform for us.
Sue performed a wide variety of British themed singer’s music. All patriotic for the occasion.
Some artists that Sue performed with were Doris Day and Vera Lynn, just to name a few. They were very welcomed.
Whilst the performance was going on, Susan took the time to get members involved with singing and gave some hearty handshakes while serenading them with songs.
The day of Sue St Nicholas’s performance was also the day of our very own Jean Fahy’s birthday.
Upon her return from a nice birthday treat with her family, she joined in with the singing and enjoyed the entertainment.
To make her day just that little bit more special, Susan sang Happy Birthday to Jean and everyone rejoiced. And had a photo taken with her and St. George (Paul from Activities team). A cake was also brought in for Jean, from her family, which brought a smile to her face.
She was very happy with her special day. Flags, bunting and bubbles were all on display during the show.
Our very own Paul Bate (activities co-ordinator) dressed up as St George for the day.
To close out the show, Susan sang one final song which was Bring Me Sunshine, whilst Paul and Kathy (activities co-ordinator) danced the famous Morecambe & Wise Dance.
It was a fun-filled day, enjoyed by all.
