National Care Home Open Day at Loxley – 21st April 2018

NATIONAL CARE OPEN DAY 2018 THEME LINKING WITH THE COMMUNITY, THE QUEEN’S BIRTHDAY

NAPA CHALLENGE A FOOD JOURNEY AROUND THE COMMONWEALTH

COUNTRIES UK, INDIA, JAMAICA

1.50PM Lord Mayor arrives

2.00pm Lord Mayor to open the event

We will be starting our journey in the UK

2.15pm Lord Mayor to judge our Royal crown competition, entries are from our local school-Malin Bridge Primary.

2.30pm Harriet to perform her first piece of Ballet in the Conservatory

2.40pm Birthday celebrations for the queen, singing & cake cutting ceremony with finger buffet.

2.50pm Harriet to perform her second piece of Ballet in the Conservatory.

3.00pm Restaurant will be serving food from our three chosen countries

We are now travelling onto India

3.30pm Kinder from India to perform his Bollywood piece in the Restaurant join him for a talk and dancing and traditional Indian nibbles.

Our final destination Jamaica

3.45pm Join us in Jamaica and see our very own Paul on the Bongo drums, have a dance and finish off with a glass of rum punch.

There will be a selection of stalls for you to browse in the Reception area. Stalls include- Forever Living skincare, Pip & Peel preserves, Stewarts cards, Tombola, Gifts in a tin, Jofli bears
