When residents of Signature Southlodge woke up to some long awaited sun shine, both the activities team and the residents themselves decided they should seize the moment and take a trip to a local farm. As the residents got dressed for the occasion and mussed over what animals might be there, the activities team got the minibus up and running and the cameras charged ready to give residents a day out to remember.
When they arrived at the farm, it was clear this was going to be a fulfilled day, as two very entertaining hens clucked there way over to the residents and started making a big song and dance. Once the hysteria created by these comical hens died down, residents strolled around the farm feeding some very cuddly sheep, playing with some very energetic bunny’s and stroking the bellies of some very cute piglets who were in competition for the residents attention.
Everybody had a fantastic time as they all said that it was great to see such a happy bunch of animals who were clearly very well looked after.
Having thoroughly enjoyed the day’s events residents nabbed some comfy seats where they were treated to some well deserved cups of tea from the very popular farmhouse tea rooms.
