Every birthday which we celebrate at Loxley Park is special but landmark birthdays are given that little bit of extra pizzazz. When we realised that one of our members was approaching her 80th year, Loxley Park staff were determined to make this occasion extra special. This lady lives at Loxley Park with her husband and always greets everyone with a few kind words and a gentle, honest smile.

Her party included Loxley Park members, staff and many family members. Everyone had a smashing time but there is no need to take our word for it, here is an extract which we received from the lady’s daughter a couple of days after the celebration –

“Just a quick email to thank you and your colleagues for organising such a superb luncheon to celebrate my Mother's 80th birthday last weekend.

In every respect you were all outstanding and this was commented on by all those attending! The welcome of all the staff, the lovely layout in the drawing room and the can do friendliness and patience of all could not be better.  As for the food well it was quite excellent in both quality and presentation.  It was the type of spread that we'd have in Ireland in years gone by so was lovely for Mum and Dad.  My only criticism could be that there was too much!! 

As if that wasn't enough you kindly offered to set a table up in the drawing room the following day so that we could sit with Mum and Dad while they ate lunch.   Sue was particularly kind in this regard.

Finally the friendliness, kindness and patience that Dad and Mum have always been shown at Loxley is greatly appreciated.
