Fun start to 2010 at Miramar care home, Kent
27th January 2010
It's been a busy month for residents of Miramar, with our Kent care home playing host to a number of fun and entertaining events.
Firstly, Miramar staff and guests welcomed harpist Margaret Watson, who kept everyone entertained with a musical selection.
The life of this famous poet was well and truly honoured on a day of festivities, starting with afternoon whisky, shortbread and Scottish dancing from Lynn and Terry.
They capped off the day with a traditional Scottish meal haggis, neeps and tatties while a piper provided authentic entertainment.
As well as their many special occasions, Miramar also hosts a number of regular events.
The Parkinsons Society and MS Society hold a joint coffee morning at our Kent care home on the first Saturday of each month - the next meeting is February 6.
Meanwhile, the Stroke Society is holding a coffee morning on the third Friday of each month.
